Job description:
We are urgently looking for an interim Team Lead – Security Service Management:
You will have following responsibilities:
- Onboarding Security Demands & translation of business use cases to security use cases.
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and standards, including regulations focused on controlled technology.
- Collect and document security demands from various business teams within the organization.
- Expertly translate business use cases into technical security requirements. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of security solutions.
- Knowledge on wide variety of security tools and platforms to address security demands such as DLP , CASB, IRM, Classification, Discovery scanning tools, EDR, SIEM etc. is preferred.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across the organization including Security, IT & Business teams.
- Act as a liaison between business teams and security teams to facilitate clear communication and understanding.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to various stakeholders, including senior management and technical teams.
- Clearly articulate security needs, project statuses, and outcomes.
- Leverage past experience working within business teams to understand and prioritize their security needs.
- Collaborate with CISO teams to ensure alignment with overall security strategy and compliance.
- Manage and oversee security projects from initiation to completion.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of security demands, projects, and outcomes.
- Ensure regular reports for senior management and stakeholders on the status and impact of security initiatives are delivered on time.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve security processes and practices within the organization.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and proactive risk management across business teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and engagement related to security projects.
People Management:
- Ensure every team member has clarity on their respective goals for the year. (including personal development & training)
- Focus on people management & growth within Service Mgmt. team which also includes weekly (or bi-weekly) 1-1 sessions with each team member to have constant feedback loop.
- Host team retrospective sessions on a monthly basis to understand how, we as a team, to focus on how we can improve as a team.
Also includes project management for critical security projects
- Discovery & Purge of sensitive files within business by working closely with the Security representatives from the business.
- Reduce Local Admin Rights across the organisation in close collaboration with IT.
- Mitigate known exfiltration scenarios with multiple stakeholders, especially with IT.
Experience and skills
- 8+ years of relevant experience in information security risk management/IT domain.
- Preferred security certifications (e.g. CRISC, CISSP/CISM, CISA, etc.), but not required.
- Expert-level knowledge of MS Office tools required (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Expert-level knowledge of collaboration tools (JIRA, SharePoint, Teams, Confluence etc.)
- Ability to identify security risks and to drive risk mitigation, dealing with resistance and risk appetite in cooperation with the Risk Manager/Business teams..
- Ability to translate business use cases into technical security requirements.
- Pro-active and self-motivated with the proven ability to drive results.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and capable of doing so at various organizational levels.
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Team player.
- Strong in communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Builder of stakeholder networks.
- Able to give direction and good at planning & prioritizing.
- Strong analytical background.
